Everything you need to know before buying from MCROONS — from choosing the right glasses to picking a bag, watch or jewellery piece.

Glasses Buying Guide

Choosing a frame shape

The right frame shape depends on your face shape. As a general guide: oval and round faces suit most shapes; square faces look great with round or oval frames; heart-shaped faces suit bottom-heavy frames like aviators; diamond faces suit cat-eye or oval shapes.

Choosing a lens type

  • Frame Only — the frame with no lenses. Take to your local optician.
  • Non-Prescription — clear lenses fitted for fashion or screen use.
  • Prescription — submit your prescription after ordering and we fit your lenses.

Frame materials explained

  • Acetate — rich colour, lightweight and hypoallergenic. Most popular for fashion frames.
  • Metal — slim, durable and professional. Good for minimalist styles.
  • Titanium — the lightest and strongest frame material. Premium and hypoallergenic.
  • TR90 — extremely flexible and lightweight. Great for active wear and kids.

Bags Buying Guide

Consider how you will use the bag daily. For commuting and work, a laptop bag or structured tote works best. For travel, look for waterproof backpacks with lockable zips. For everyday casual use, crossbody and shoulder bags offer convenience and hands-free carrying.

Watches Buying Guide

For everyday wear, a quartz watch in stainless steel is a reliable and low-maintenance choice. For sport and outdoor use, look for waterproof ratings of 5ATM or higher. For dress occasions, an analog watch with a leather strap gives a classic, polished look.

Jewellery Buying Guide

For sensitive skin, choose 925 sterling silver or hypoallergenic alloy pieces. Moissanite is an excellent alternative to diamond — it is as brilliant and nearly as hard, at a fraction of the cost. For gifting, classic round stud earrings and pendant necklaces are universally popular choices.
